This little antique trinket box circa 1971 (see small gold inscription on side and on bottom) measures 6.625x4.375x4.5 inches in size. The box has brass hardware and has been decoupaged on the outside but underneath the gold paint can be seen a patterned texture. The inside of the box has a fabric lining with a gold foil trim, also shown in photos. Inscription on the side reads For Betty Stringer, 1971 and on the bottom reads, Aunt Merle 1971. The inscription is not easily seen in photos but is clearly legible when viewing the box in person.
This little box has a story and would make a great gift for someone who loves old things!
